We started our day today at 9:30am and arrived back at the hotel about the same time 12 hours later.  It was a full and busy day.

We headed out to the Great Wall first thing.  We went to the Badoling section of the wall and it was about a 2 hour drive from our hotel.  The smog was really thick so our view wasn’t the greatest this time,  and there were also a lot of people there.  We actually took a cable car up to the top and then walked part of the way down.  About halfway down, we decided to ride a slide that took you the rest of the way down.  Since Camden Lin Feng was running and bouncing along and scaring us me to death, we decided to try that.  It was actually fun and kind of like a low scale roller coaster.

After the long drive back into the city, we stopped for a quick bite to eat before the Acrobat Show.  We had a chance to try Dim Sum and then had some awesome noodles and fried bananas.  The food was very good and Jordyn especially loved the Dim Sum.

The Acrobat Show was a big hit with everyone.  Camden Lin Feng sat through the whole thing without any complaint.  He was completely enthralled by what he saw and continued to talk about it afterwards.  It really was amazing and I think I enjoyed it more this time than the last time I saw it.

Afterwards, we were treated to a traditional Sichuan meal at a very nice restaurant.  We had some of the best food we have eaten in China thus far.  The atmosphere was beautiful and the food was really good.  All of the kids were actually full after this meal.  Lisa is our guide here in Beijing and we actually know her from Living Hope so we are enjoying spending time with her.  Dion, our guide from our last trip joined us for dinner and it was great to catch up with what is going on in his life.  We love Living Hope, not only as our agency, but for the work they are doing here in China.

Camden was better today, although we are still seeing some of the same behaviors as yesterday.  We just keep reminding each other that this is all normal and may even get worse when we get home.  We know he is smart and has a sweet personality so we will wait for him to feel completely at home in our family.  He has been so brave so far and willing to take on a whole new life.

Two days to go.  And yes, I am counting.  Beijing is a nice change from Guangzhou, but there’s no place like home.
